A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

When coming out to his best friend goes awry, Ricky is faced with a dark future.

This game contains adult themes that are not suitable for younger audiences. This includes: suicidal thoughts, suicidal actions, suggestions of sexual acts, and censored nudity.

This is a short ~6000 word furry visual novel (FVN) made for the Love + Attraction Game Jam, hosted by Nikko.

This game was solo-developed by me, RykerUnified, so forgive me if it's a bit wonky. This is the first visual novel I've ever made, and I hope it won't be the last.

Install instructions

If I understand this whole process correctly, all you have to do is download the game and unzip the folder before running the application.

As for the Android version, after downloading you might need to adjust your permissions to run the game, but it should be working.

This was good. I especially like the option to persevere when you choose a bad ending, it's just a really nice quality of life feature that means I don't have to reload all the time!

It was definitely something I had noticed in some of the let's plays of other VNs I'd seen. Plus, making an easy way to go back to previous choices after a bad end made it really easy to test stuff. Just had to mark each choice with its own label!

I must say, the character design and art quality is insanely good!!! The story may be short, but it's still pretty nice, pretty sad too. Although, the ending was quite abrupt and hasty. I hoped the story would continue but it just suddenly ended and it unfortunately felt somewhat anticlimactic. But amazing work for your first game!!! Congrats, Ryker! I'm really looking forward to seeing your future projects.

EDIT: You should change or edit the title image, half of it is cropped on the store page. Only the candle and half of Ricky can be seen.

I definitely have a bad habit of abruptly ending stories. I have a few thoughts on how I want to remedy that. Thanks for the feedback!

Also, I think I got that title image fixed.

I'll be sure to update the game to a 1.0 version when I have time to sit down and fix some things, and also hopefully figure out how to get a mobile-compatible build running.

Would you ever consider making a web version so that the game can be played through the browser as well?

Not at this time, though I would consider looking into it for any future projects.
